DigitalBridge has agreed to acquire Boston-based ArcLight Capital Partners, a specialist in power and electric infrastructure, for $1.05 billion. The consideration includes a base purchase price of $650 million plus up to $400 million in contingent consideration, reflecting ArcLight's significant portfolio of energy assets.

Founded in 2001, ArcLight has owned or operated over 70 GW of generation assets and 48,000 miles of electric and gas transmission infrastructure. This acquisition represents DigitalBridge's strategic expansion into the energy infrastructure sector, leveraging ArcLight's established expertise and physical assets.

The deal includes leadership transitions where Daniel Revers will serve as vice chairman of DigitalBridge, while Angelo Acconcia and Jake Erhard will continue leading ArcLight as managing partner and senior partner respectively. The transaction underscores consolidation trends in the energy infrastructure investment space.
