Cloud First, backed by Renovus Capital Partners, has completed the acquisition of Forvis Mazars’ IT and cyber managed services practice, for undisclosed terms. The acquired team significantly expands Cloud First’s technical capacity across operations and engineering, strengthens its Microsoft Azure capabilities, broadens its cybersecurity services and introduces Service Desk as a formal offering. The expanded cybersecurity practice also brings expertise across a wider range of security technologies and platforms, giving Cloud First more flexibility to evaluate client and partner needs based on each organization’s environment, risk profile and business requirements.

Ben Doane joins Cloud First as senior vice president of cybersecurity, and Rick Burtt joins as senior director of managed services. Clients of the acquired practice will continue working with the same team members and service relationships, while gaining access to Cloud First’s broader cloud, cybersecurity and managed services portfolio. Cloud First said the deal advances its strategy of building a comprehensive portfolio for organizations that rely on critical IT environments.
