Chimney Rock Equity Partners has acquired Gas Clip Technologies, a Dallas-based supplier of portable gas detection services. The company provides gas detection products used across industrial, marine, utility, refining, chemical processing, and water/wastewater sectors. Gas Clip Technologies has built a reputation for developing user-friendly, durable, and low-maintenance portable gas detection devices.

Gas Clip's products serve workers in critical safety applications across multiple end markets with long-term growth potential. Chimney Rock partner Robert Aikman noted the company's pioneering approach to user-friendly gas detection technology. The private equity firm already had familiarity with Gas Clip's product suite through use by other portfolio companies.

The acquisition positions Chimney Rock to expand Gas Clip's market presence through new product development, distributor relationships, and geographic expansion. This strategic move strengthens Chimney Rock's portfolio in the industrial safety equipment sector while providing Gas Clip with resources for growth.
