Belmont Medical Technologies has acquired Arcos Inc, a Missouri City, Texas-based health technology company specializing in software solutions for treating serious burn patients. The deal marks Belmont's third acquisition since Audax Private Equity invested in the company in 2017, expanding its portfolio in critical care solutions.

Arcos was founded in 2009 by Dr. George Kramer and Chris Meador, developing technology that assists healthcare professionals in burn treatment protocols. Belmont, which provides fluid-resuscitation and patient-temperature management solutions, gains specialized software capabilities that complement its existing medical device offerings in patient care.

The acquisition strengthens Belmont's position in the health technology sector, particularly in specialized burn care where precision software tools are increasingly important for treatment outcomes. By adding Arcos's burn-patient solutions, Belmont expands its addressable market within critical care medicine.

This follows Audax's buy-and-build strategy in the medical technology space, where the private equity firm has supported multiple platform acquisitions since 2017. The deal demonstrates continued consolidation in health tech, where specialized software companies are attractive targets for established medical device manufacturers seeking integrated solutions.
