The most active investors in the 2026 cohort of newly minted unicorns are led by Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, and Y Combinator, which dominate the current board. Since August 15, 250 companies have joined, up from 193 in 2025, with robotics, AI labs, healthcare, biotech, and financial services among زنان sectors.

Geographically, 139 (56%) of the firms are U.S.-headquartered while 47 (19%) hail from China. Crunchbase data shows that a staggering 75% of all funding—$74 B out of $98 B—was raised in 2026, and 329 deals represent the highest count yet for the year.

The Top 10 most active investors by count are Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, Y Combinator, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Founders Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Lux Capital, General Catalyst, and Box Group. Y Combinator is the sole accelerator on the list, while Box Group is the only seed‑only investor. HSG, formerly Sequoia Capital China, and corporate VCs like Google Ventures, Nvidia, and NVentures also appear.

Seed‑stage leaders include Y Combinator and Sequoia, each investing under $20 M, with Box Group following行. Series A leads are Andreessen Horowitz, Khosla, Spark, and Sequoia, each with six deals. The surge in 2026 shows that early‑stage firms with multistage gestion continue to dominate, while a handful of accelerators and Asian investors break into the top tier.
