Infrastructure and Energy Deals

KKR closed its largest infrastructure fund to date, KKR Global Infrastructure Investors V, at $19.2bn. This fund is the largest infrastructure vehicle the firm has ever raised. KKR also agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Total Energies' European onshore solar and wind business for €1.8bn. This 1.2 GW portfolio of assets spans across Europe. The deal follows KKR's late 2025 acquisition of Total Energies' North American solar business for $1.25 billion. KKR plans to deploy insurance capital into this €1.8bn renewables portfolio.

Retail and Technology Transactions

CVC and Partners Group have agreed to fully exit their investment in Żabka Group, Poland's largest convenience retailer. Alimentation Couche-Tard has made an $8.6bn voluntary offer for the company, which they will tender their entire holdings into. Permira is selling its portfolio company Bio Catch, a fraud intelligence provider, to Visa for $2.4bn. protects over 760 million consumers across more than 350 financial institutions globally.

Fundraising and Investment Strategies

Adams Street Partners has raised over $5bn in capital commitments for its latest Secondaries Investment Program. This program includes the close of Global Secondary Fund 8 at $2.7bn. Separately, an unnamed specialist impact investing firm held a second close for its debut dedicated secondaries fund, raising an additional $100m with support from US investors. KKR is also reportedly considering launching a GP-led secondary strategy, believing it can build a “world-class” business in this sub-segment.

Other Private Equity Activity

Ardian has arranged new unitranche financing for Arche MC2, supporting a shareholding reorganization. This reorganization will result in Montefiore Investment and Activa jointly controlling the French software publisher. Amerit Fleet is expanding its Canadian operations by acquiring Triple Diamond Truck and Trailer Repair. Cortec Group is preparing A1 Garage Door Service, a residential garage door maintenance provider, for a potential sale. McNally Capital made a majority investment in Tenica as demand for defense and intelligence services grows. New York Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS) plans to commit up to $2.7bn to private equity in fiscal year 2027. Menlo Ventures' Murphy indicated the firm is pursuing larger deals in AI and is deploying $3bn in new capital.
