Free Agency Moves

The Texans reached agreement with veteran OT Trent Brown on a one-year extension worth up to $7 million. The Bears traded DJ Moore to the Bills as the wide receiver moves to Buffalo. Washington is expected to be aggressive pursuing players at edge rusher, receiver and corner, particularly to provide Jayden Daniels star-level help.

Player Updates

The Patriots will release Stefon Diggs after one season, saving cap space and putting the WR position back in question. The Vikings are expected to release Jonathan Allen as they continue to whittle down their salary cap deficit. Pittsburgh is releasing Jonnu Smith, who arrived via trade with the Dolphins last summer.

Off-Field News

Browns star Myles Garrett was issued a citation for speeding - his ninth since entering the NFL in 2017 - after he was clocked going 94 mph in a 70 mph zone. Meanwhile, veteran QB Aaron Rodgers says he remains undecided on his playing status for next season despite the Steelers hiring Mike McCarthy, with whom he won a Super Bowl in Green Bay.

Draft & Combine Notes

While Tampa Bay waits for two of its most impactful players in team history, the coach and GM opened up in Indy about why the Bucs want Lavonte David back. The Chiefs' trade of Trent McDuffie raises questions about their defensive strategy, drawing comparisons to their previous decision to trade away a player of McDuffie's caliber before going to three straight Super Bowls.
