Tottenham Hotspur have left Richarlison out of their Premier League squad for the 2026-27 season. Richarlison has been told he is not part of head coach Roberto De Zerbi's plans, and the decision was communicated to the 29-year-old before the transfer deadline to give him the opportunity to find a new club, sources have told ESPN.

The Premier League transfer window closed on Tuesday with Richarlison still at Spurs, but a move is possible to a country where the window is still open. Türkiye remains an option for the forward, with their transfer window open until Sept. 4. However, Tottenham say the club have not received an offer for Richarlison as of Thursday.

De Zerbi publicly confirmed last weekend that the former Everton forward had expressed a desire to leave Tottenham. "Richarlison, I don't know. He said too many times he wants to leave," De Zerbi said after Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United. Richarlison joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 and scored 11 Premier League goals last season.

The 29-year-old called for "respect" in a social media post. "I've always made it clear, every time I had the chance, that leaving for another club would only happen if it was also good for the club," he said on Instagram. Spurs added Mykhailo Mudryk on loan and Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea on deadline day.
