Bradley Barcola was forced off in his home debut for Liverpool during their Champions League win over Atlético Madrid on Wednesday, but coach Andoni Iraola confirmed it was just cramp. The £123 million ($166 million) summer signing pulled up just before the hour mark while chasing a goal, going down holding his left calf. After treatment, he was replaced by Víctor Muñoz, though he was able to walk off without a stretcher.

Iraola said, "It's just cramp, there is no injury. With Bradley, it's about building his physical condition." He added, "We don't really know, or we didn't know until now probably, how much he can play, because he hasn't had any minutes in preseason for PSG. He played 30 the other day. Today we had some question marks, how many minutes he can give us, and probably now we know."

The two-time Champions League winner left Paris Saint-Germain for Anfield and impressed on his first start, creating good chances in each half. He was denied by Atlético goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the first half but missed a clear opportunity after the break. Iraola praised him, saying, "I'm very happy because also he has had two very clear chances against the keeper. He hasn't scored, but I want him there. That is where he has to make the difference -- arriving to those spots, those positions."

Liverpool won the match 2-1, with goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. The victory marked a strong start for the new signing, despite his early exit.
