Bay Pine-backed Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of La Placa Insurance, a Chalfont, Pennsylvania agency founded in 1988. The acquisition, effective June 30, 2026, for undisclosed terms, expands Relation's footprint in the greater Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey markets. La Placa provides business insurance, employee benefits, and personal lines coverage.

Tim Hall, CEO of Relation, stated the La Placa team brings a combined 140 years of insurance experience, with client retention rates consistently in the high 90th percentile. Relation, based in Chicago, is an insurance brokerage offering risk management and benefits consulting services across the US. The company employs approximately 1,350 people across more than 90 locations and ranks among the top 25 largest agencies in the country by revenue, according to Insurance Journal.

Bay Pine, a Boston-based private equity firm, owns Relation as a portfolio company.
