HighPost Capital has launched High Post Aerospace, Defense, and Cybersecurity, a new investment vertical targeting middle-market buyouts and late-stage ventures in aerospace, defense, cybersecurity, and government missions. David Walsh, former managing partner of FON Advisors and a former US Navy intelligence officer, will lead the platform. He previously founded Prescient Edge, an intelligence services firm.

The West Palm Beach, Florida-based team will handle investment origination, execution, and portfolio operations. The advisory team includes Matthew Bluhm, John Rompon, former US senator Richard Burr, and Thomas Feddo. David Moross, founder and CEO of High Post, emphasized the need for experienced, long-term capital in national security sectors.

The platform is backed by a capital commitment from Azimut Group, the global asset manager that owns High Post. The launch follows significant public investments in defense, including nearly $1 trillion appropriated by Congress since July 2025 and NATO’s commitment to 5% GDP spending by 2035.
