BBC comedy "Small Prophets" is returning for a second season after a strong first run on BBC Two. The show will move to BBC One to reach a larger audience following its success as the BBC's biggest new comedy of the year. Season one follows Michael Sleep, played by Pearce Quigley, whose partner Clea disappeared nearly a decade ago.

After receiving a Homunculi recipe from his father, Sleep teams up with colleague Kacey to conjure a spirit that might predict his future. The series stars Mackenzie Crook, Sir Michael Palin, Pearce Quigley, and Lauren Patel, and was written and directed by Crook, known for "The Office." Though a BBC production, the show was picked up by Apple TV in August for streaming rights to season one. While no official word has been given on a return to Apple TV, the show's popularity and timing suggest it likely will return to the platform.

Apple TV has historically acquired individual titles like "CODA" rather than full libraries, often showing them first on its service.
