Deloitte UK partners received a record average pay of £1.13 million last year, a £70,000 increase driven by rising profits despite cost-cutting measures. The firm reduced its total workforce by 1,000 people, from 26,000, while offering voluntary redundancy to nearly 3% of audit staff. Revenue for the UK and Swiss businesses combined grew 2% to £5.8 billion, with profits rising 14% to £899 million.

The bonus pool for rank-and-file employees increased 14% to £305 million spent on salaries and bonuses. The number of equity partners rose 6.5% to a record 784. Darren Graves, recently voted in by partners, replaced Richard Houston as UK senior partner.

Graves stated the results were delivered against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty and AI advancement. The consulting arm was the primary growth driver, with technology and transformation revenues rising 4% to £1.8 billion. Deloitte noted strong demand for enterprise technology support and AI adoption strategies.

The firm reported revenue increases in deal advisory and audit, while tax and legal also grew. The financial results mark a recovery from the previous year's decline.
