Speaker Mike Johnson will travel to 22 states in the run-up to November elections, with campaign stops spanning districts from his home turf of Louisiana to Washington as Republicans seek to keep control of the House. The speaker will also campaign in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin, his spokesperson Greg Steele confirmed Monday.

Johnson’s travel plans were first reported by Axios. The speaker went on an extensive campaign swing in August, working to boost some of the House’s most vulnerable Republican incumbents. While independent analysts broadly say Democrats are favored to flip the chamber in November given historic midterm headwinds against the White House’s party, Johnson remains publicly bullish that Republicans will keep control of the House.
