He will face Karen Khachanov, who advanced after Alexander Blockx retired trailing 6-2 7-5 3-2 due to injury. Blockx, playing in his first Grand Slam quarter-final, suffered a blister and back issue, forcing him to quit while trailing. Khachanov, a former world number eight, is unseeded at a major for the first time since 2018.
