World number two Mark Selby progressed to the third round of the English Open by winning a deciding frame against China's Zhang Anda. Selby completed a final clearance of 39 to win the final frame 59-49, taking victory on the black. Zhang had levelled the tie at 3-3 with a century break, after Selby has turned round a 2-1 deficit to lead 3-2.

The 43-year-old will now meet Kyren Wilson, who won 4-3 against Wuhan Open champion Chang Bingyu, in the last 16 in Brentwood.
