Pixelmator Pro update adds iPhone 17 mockups and new RAW support

Apple rolled out a fresh update to Pixelmator Pro, the Mac‑based image editor it bought in 2024. The patch adds RAW support for a slew of new cameras—including Sony’s ILCE‑7M5 and Fujifilm’s GFX 100S II—plus expanded template libraries featuring iOS mockups. Users can now drop in iPhone 17 device frames for app screenshots. The addition also supports High Efficiency RAW from Nikon Z5II and Z50II models.

Beyond camera compatibility, the update smooths SVG export workflow, reducing hiccups when files open in Adobe Illustrator. A new touch‑and‑hold gesture lets editors compare before‑and‑after states of color adjustments instantly. The sidebar is now fully customizable, and Creator Studio subscribers gain keyboard shortcuts for opacity, blend modes, layer selection and video playback control. Option‑Comma jumps to bottom layer; Shift‑Plus/Minus toggles blend modes.

Creator Studio’s tiered pricing—$12.99 per month or $129 annually—unlocks these enhancements, as well as exclusive tools like a warp function and apparel mockups. The standard version receives the same RAW and template upgrades but lacks the shortcuts and UI tweaks. Freelancers can meet client deadlines without switching tools, as the iPad app now mirrors many Mac shortcuts.
