MARTA has launched Breeze Card support in Apple Wallet, allowing Atlanta commuters to pay transit fares directly from their iPhone or Apple Watch. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority's move brings contactless payment options to the city's public transportation system. Users can now tap their devices at train stations and bus stops without needing physical cards.

Adding the Breeze Card to Apple Wallet takes just a few taps in the app. The system supports both pay-per-ride options and discounted multi-ride passes. Express Mode enables commuters to simply hold their device near a reader without unlocking it, working even for up to five hours after an iPhone's battery dies.

The Breeze Card previously became available in Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet earlier this month. Apple's entry expands transit payment options for Atlanta riders. The city joins a growing list of locations where Apple Pay works with public transportation systems nationwide.
