Apple today announced the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6, featuring a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, Wi-Fi 7, and up to 24 hours of battery life. Pre-orders open Wednesday, October 28, at 10:10 a.m. Pacific Time on apple.com and the Apple Store app, with availability starting Friday, November 6. Pricing starts at $1,999 with 16GB of unified memory and 1TB of storage as standard. The base 512GB option was removed in March, effectively doubling the starting storage to 1TB. The new 14-inch MacBook Pro is available in Space Black and Silver, with configurations up to 32GB of memory and 4TB of storage.
Apple also sent media invites for an October 28 "Launch Experience" in Los Angeles, teasing touchscreen MacBooks, a new iPad mini, and Macs equipped with M6 chips. The event likely coincides with the MacBook Pro release, though a separate October 27 event may introduce OLED iPad mini and touchscreen MacBook Pro models. Related Roundup: MacBook Pro
