The iPhone Photography Awards celebrated its 19th year by unveiling the 2026 winners, demonstrating how far mobile photography has progressed since the contest began. Robyn Jensen captured the Grand Prize with a dramatic volcano eruption in the Cayman Islands using an iPhone 15 Pro, while Gellért Gombai won Gold for a striking black-and-white shot of children napping in grass, photographed on an iPhone X.

Silver and Bronze prizes went to images taken on iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models respectively, showing Apple's latest flagship devices already producing award-worthy work. The competition spans diverse categories including abstract, animals, architecture, landscape, and travel, with all winning entries available on the IPPA website.

Open to iPhone and iPad users globally, the contest allows editing through iOS apps. While submitting costs money, Apple provides its latest devices as prizes for winners. The 20th annual competition deadline is March 31, 2027.

These awards highlight mobile photography's artistic legitimacy and Apple's hardware advancement over nearly two decades, proving that smartphones can produce gallery-worthy images when paired with skilled photographers.
