However, Apple's revamped Siri continues to face delays, with the company encountering testing issues that have pushed back the feature's release. Originally planned for iOS 26.4, the enhanced Siri functionality is now expected to be partially delayed across multiple iOS updates, potentially reaching users in iOS 26.5 and iOS 27. The problems include Siri sometimes failing to properly process queries and taking too long to respond.

Apple engineers are now focusing on iOS 26.5 for further internal testing, as the current version still has reliability issues and accuracy problems. The situation remains fluid according to Bloomberg, with executives reluctant to delay the Siri functionality beyond spring 2026. Despite these setbacks, Apple still plans major Siri improvements for iOS 27, including chatbot functionality to compete with Gemini and ChatGPT, along with deeper app integration.
