iOS 27 introduces a range of new iCloud features across various Apple apps, including Home, Siri, and Photos. In the Home app, Apple Intelligence can now provide text-based summaries of events captured by HomeKit Secure Video cameras, with events spanning multiple cameras being paired for a comprehensive overview. Utilizing these features requires an iCloud+ plan of 2TB or higher, priced at $9.99/month in the US, which also allows for an unlimited number of HomeKit Secure Video cameras.

Apple Intelligence features, such as image generation in Image Playground, will have daily limits that can be increased with most iCloud+ plans. Siri conversations will now sync across devices via iCloud, allowing users to revisit and continue chats on iOS, macOS, and iPadOS. The Photos app sees improvements like a "Prioritize Syncing" toggle for immediate uploads, full-resolution support for Shared Albums allowing Android and Windows uploads, and faster initial upload speeds to iCloud Photos.

Collaboration features in iCloud are enhanced with richer link previews, the ability to send access requests, faster access to shared content on iCloud.com, and easier link creation. The Journal app will display iCloud sync status per entry, and the Passwords app will leverage Apple Intelligence and iCloud Keychain to automatically fix weak passwords on compatible iPhones. iOS 27 is slated for release in September.
