Apple announced that iPhone users with iCloud+ plans of at least 2TB receive new perks in the Home app on iOS 27. These perks include generated video descriptions, the ability to search camera clips, and automatic surfacing of noteworthy clips.

In the fifth developer beta, Stephen Robles shared that his 8TB plan (6TB + 2TB from Apple One) qualifies for video summaries on up to 15 cameras. Screenshots of the Home app confirm this eligibility.

Upgrading to the maximum 12TB iCloud+ plan may increase these limits even further. Apple also said higher plans boost daily usage limits for other Apple Intelligence features, such as image generation in the Image Playground app, with details expected in September.

Apple limits these AI features to paying customers because they rely on powerful server models, which are expensive to run. This strategy rewards higher‑tier iCloud+ subscribers with enhanced functionality.
