iOS 27 will introduce a custom wallpaper generator through the Image Playground app, letting users create personalized backgrounds. Apple is testing enhanced image models for more lifelike results, representing a significant upgrade to the current functionality.

The Shortcuts app will receive a major AI-driven update enabling users to create shortcuts through natural language commands. Instead of manual configuration, users can ask Siri "What do you want your shortcut to do?" and describe their desired workflow, with AI automatically generating and installing the shortcut.

Currently, shortcut creation remains complex and inaccessible to many casual users. The natural language interface promises to democratize this powerful automation tool. Both features will be previewed at Apple's WWDC keynote on June 8.
