iFunSmart cases reveal foldable iPhone design

Accessory maker iFunSmart has posted the first protective cases for Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, giving the industry a tangible look at the device’s exterior. The listings, uncovered by French site iPhoneSoft, depict a slim rear module with two camera lenses, a modest camera plateau and a circular MagSafe‑style magnet cutout. Their specs tout military‑grade drop protection, integrated N52 magnets and a translucent matte finish today.

Case manufacturers typically reverse‑engineer dummy units or leaked CAD files to size molds weeks before a new iPhone lands, and iFunSmart’s design mirrors the prototype images leaker Sonny Dickson shared in April. The case features 1.5 mm raised lips around the lenses and a 1 mm screen bezel, with separate snap‑on sections to accommodate the folding hinge to ensure precise fit for the device.

The presence of magnets does not confirm Apple will embed MagSafe in the foldable, but it lets users attach chargers and mounts to the case itself. With Apple expected to unveil the device—tentatively dubbed iPhone Ultra—alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series this fall, analysts note a launch price near $2,000, signaling a premium‑tier entry into the foldable market for early adopters seeking cutting‑edge tech.
