Aqara's G350 Camera Packs Dual Lenses, Matter Support, and AI Tracking

Aqara launched the Camera Hub G350 in March as the first Matter-certified smart camera. The device records in 4K with a 133-degree wide-angle lens and includes a 2.5K secondary camera for 9x zoom. It ships with a removable bunny-ear silicone hood, though the design works as a traditional security camera without it.

Dual cameras give the G350 an edge over single-lens competitors. The 360-degree pan, tilt, and AI auto-tracking keep people and pets in frame with on-device processing that detects faces, gestures, and sounds like coughing or a baby crying. Night vision via infrared LEDs delivers a grayscale view, though recordings lose clarity in low light.

The G350 connects to Apple Home as a HomeKit Secure Video camera, but you need an iCloud+ plan and HSV caps resolution at 1080p. Aqara's app unlocks full features including the AI tracking and sound detection. The $140 camera ships without a power adapter, requiring a 10W USB-C supply.

A HomeGuardian subscription adds 90 days of video history and unlimited storage for $4.99 monthly. All core features work without it. The G350 doubles as a Thread Border Router and Aqara hub, making it a versatile addition for smart home setups.
