Apple plans to bring OLED displays to its iPad mini, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, iMac, and MacBook Air between 2026 and 2028, according to a report from DigiTimes. This transition moves beyond the current LCD panels used in most models, promising richer colors and deeper blacks.

The timeline reflects Apple's gradual adoption of the premium display technology. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously indicated the iPad mini and MacBook Pro could see OLED as early as this year, while the MacBook Air isn't expected until 2028. A new iPad Air launching this year will still use LCD, with an OLED model likely in 2027.

This staggered rollout aligns with Apple's typical product cycles and supply chain constraints. The iMac is reportedly targeted for 2027 or 2028, matching earlier reports from The Elec. For consumers, it means a more consistent, high-quality viewing experience across Apple's lineup, though buyers may face a choice between current models and waiting for the superior display technology.
