Apple is preparing a significant push into budget-friendly devices with five new products reportedly launching this spring. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the lineup includes the iPhone 17e, a low-cost MacBook with an iPhone chip, a base model iPad, a new iPad Air, and the M5 MacBook Air. This strategy targets emerging markets where Apple has struggled to gain market share.

The iPhone 17e will feature Apple's A19 chip, MagSafe charging, and the company's new C1X and N1 chips for enhanced 5G and connectivity. The base model iPad will finally receive Apple Intelligence support with 8GB of RAM, while the iPad Air will get an incremental processor upgrade. The low-cost MacBook, designed to compete with Chromebooks and budget Windows laptops, could feature either the A18 or A19 Pro chip in a thin 12.9-inch design.

Apple's focus on affordability comes as the company seeks to expand beyond its established markets. The M5 MacBook Air, expected alongside more powerful M5 Pro and M5 Max models, should deliver performance comparable to the M1 Ultra chip. With over 20 products reportedly launching in 2026, Apple appears committed to capturing budget-conscious consumers while maintaining its premium ecosystem appeal.
