AppleMaps Adds 2026 F1 Track Guide Ahead of Exclusive Apple TV Season

Apple Maps now features a detailed guide to Formula 1 tracks, launching just before the 2026 season begins on March 8. The initial focus is on Albert Park in Australia, rendered with a 3D model of the F1 pit building and highlighting all 14 turns. This immersive experience also serves as a navigation tool for race attendees, offering walking directions to key locations like restrooms and merchandise stands. While Albert Park receives the most advanced 3D treatment, other tracks like Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve are receiving upgrades, though not yet to the same extent.

This update ties directly into Apple's five-year exclusive streaming partnership with Formula 1 announced last October. The partnership grants Apple TV rights to all F1 practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix. Apple plans to amplify the sport across its ecosystem, including live updates in the Apple Sports app and integration within Apple Maps. The new track guide represents a significant step in bringing the F1 experience to Apple users globally.

The guide's launch coincides with the new season's start, providing fans and attendees with a new way to explore circuits before races begin. While the full global track list remains to be added, the initial release offers a substantial enhancement for Australian Grand Prix visitors and F1 enthusiasts using Apple Maps.
