Apple Maps Adds 3D Miami F1 Grand Prix Tour

Apple Maps rolled out a new 3D walkthrough of the Miami International Autodrome for the May 3 Grand Prix, expanding its "2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World" guide. The experience layers virtual grandstands, the Marina, pit building, finish line and other circuit landmarks, letting fans zoom in on gates, restrooms and water stations before the race streams on Apple TV.

The Miami tour follows a similar release for Albert Park in Australia, part of a season‑long plan to flesh out every venue in the 2026 F1 calendar. Apple’s mapping team added hyper‑local guides that recommend dining, shopping and prime viewing spots, turning the app into a one‑stop resource for race‑week attendees. The effort dovetails with the five‑year partnership Apple struck with Formula 1 last October, which grants exclusive U.S. streaming rights.

By turning a navigation tool into an immersive race‑preview platform, Apple blurs the line between utility and entertainment. Fans can now plan logistics and scout seats without leaving the map, while Apple reinforces its foothold in sports media. The Miami addition demonstrates how the company leverages its ecosystem to deepen engagement around high‑profile live events.
