Apple has introduced a new Genius Browse feature to the Apple TV app with tvOS 26.4, offering personalized movie and TV recommendations across multiple categories. These categories, including "Upbeat Workplace Comedies" and "Tense Psychological Thrillers," update regularly based on user preferences and provide curated content suggestions beyond just Apple TV's own offerings.

The feature allows users to explore content through related titles when browsing, with suggestions spanning multiple streaming services like HBO Max and Amazon Prime. However, as with other Apple TV recommendations, Netflix content remains excluded. This new functionality is exclusive to tvOS 26.4 and won't appear on iOS, iPadOS, or macOS versions.

tvOS 26.4 also eliminates the dedicated iTunes Movies and iTunes TV Show apps while improving audio format settings and adding more accessible subtitle customization options. Apple is expected to release tvOS 26.4 as soon as next week, completing its latest round of refinements to the Apple TV experience.
