Kuo confirmed tight memory supply but no dramatic scenario of TSMC sitting on unused inventory.

Memory shortages have already affected the Mac Studio, Mac mini, and MacBook Air, and will impact upcoming iPhones. Memory makers prioritize AI data center contracts, leaving less capacity for consumer devices. This has driven up prices and extended wait times. Apple raised Mac and iPad prices in June, and iPhone prices are expected to rise in September.

The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and foldable iPhone Ultra may be available in limited quantities due to memory problems, likely selling out during preorder.
