Xiaomi has brought its Pad 8 tablet to India ahead of schedule, launching one day earlier than the planned March 11 debut alongside the Xiaomi 17 series. The device maintains identical specifications to its Chinese counterpart. Available in Graphite Gray and Titanium Blue, sales begin March 17 with three variants priced between INR 33,999 ($370) and INR 38,999 ($425).

The Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch IPS LCD display with 3200×2136 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, it offers 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. A 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging powers the device, while Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos complete the connectivity package.

Running Android 16-based HyperOS 3 with AI enhancements, the tablet targets consumers seeking premium performance in the mid-range segment. Xiaomi's aggressive pricing strategy positions it competitively against other Android tablets in the growing Indian tablet market. The Nano Texture display variant at the top end provides an additional option for users prioritizing reduced glare during extended use.
