Another report confirms the Xiaomi 18 Ultra has been canceled, according to leakster Digital Chat Station. The phone was reportedly dropped because its planned CNY 10,000 price tag (~$1,500) was deemed too high, with Xiaomi fearing insufficient sales. This would have been a significant jump from the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which launched at CNY 7,000 for a 12/512GB model.
Despite the cancellation, leaked specs suggest the 18 Ultra would have featured a triple 200MP camera setup, including a main, periscope, and ultra-wide lens, alongside a flagship chipset and minimal bezels. The original post from Digital Chat Station is now inaccessible, leaving the claims unverified. Competitors like the vivo X500 Ultra and Oppo Find X10 Ultra may set new price benchmarks for camera-centric flagships.
