vivo S2 Launches in India After 7-Year Hiatus

vivo today introduced the vivo S2 in India, marking the comeback of the S series after a 7-year hiatus since the vivo S1 launched in August 2019. The company positions the S2 for young consumers valuing style, creativity, and intelligent experiences, with premium design and advanced imaging.

Powered by the Dimensity 7360-Turbo SoC with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, it runs Android 16-based Origin OS 6. vivo promises three years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates. The 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display offers 120Hz refresh rate, 2,800x1,260 resolution, and 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Camera highlights include a 50MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor, 2MP bokeh camera, and Aura Light ring flash, plus a 32MP selfie shooter with 4K video. A massive 7,050 mAh battery supports 44W fast charging and bypass charging. The device carries IP68/IP69 ratings, MIL-STD-810H certification, and underwater photography support.

Available in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White, the vivo S2 comes in two configurations: 8GB/128GB at INR 39,999 and 8GB/256GB at INR 49,999. Sales begin August 11 via vivo's website, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and retail partners.
