QNAP Systems, Inc. announced the new TVS-hx77AX enterprise hybrid ZFS NAS series, including the 16-bay TVS-h1677AX, 12-bay TVS-h1277AX, and 8-bay TVS-h877AX models. Powered by AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors based on Zen 4 architecture and up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory (ECC optional), the series delivers enhanced IPC performance for demanding workloads. It features native NFS over RDMA support via dual 10GBASE-T and 2.5GbE ports, with three PCIe Gen 4 slots enabling 25GbE Smart NIC installation for ultra-low latency data transfers.

The hybrid storage design combines U.2 PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe SSD slots with Qtier auto-tiering and ZFS-based QuTS hero OS for self-healing, immutable snapshots, and ransomware protection. Engineered for AI model training, virtualization, and 4K video collaboration, the TVS-hx77AX sets a new performance benchmark in desktop NAS form factors. Sean Deng, Product Manager at QNAP, emphasized the solution’s focus on eliminating data transfer bottlenecks in enterprise AI and virtualization environments.
