Spotify is launching a new AI chatbot feature that allows users to interact with the service through voice or text commands on mobile devices. This built-in chatbot is accessible from the Home view and Now Playing screens.

Users can engage in conversations to discover more about music, revisit listening history, explore podcasts and audiobooks, or request new artists. The feature enables continuous playlist refinement, saving songs, adding to queues, and following artists simply by speaking or typing requests. While listening, users can ask about song inspiration, genre, album release dates, and more, receiving context, related artist suggestions, and insights into podcasts and audiobooks.

The feature is currently rolling out in beta, exclusively in English, for Premium subscribers aged 18 and over in the US, Ireland, and Sweden. It is available on both iOS and Android. The duration of the beta period and wider availability remain undisclosed.
