Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra on July 22 in London, alongside the standard Fold8, Flip8, Watch9 and Watch Ultra 2. The new foldable will inherit the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and a 5,000 mAh battery, while retaining a minimal‑crease display design and a refined camera array that rivals flagship phablets.

Leaks from Ice Universe claim the Fold8 Ultra will sport a noticeably higher screen resolution than the Fold7’s 1,968 × 2,184 main panel and 1,080 × 2,520 cover display, though exact numbers remain undisclosed. Samsung will offer the device in Cream, Graphite, Green Shadow and Violet Shadow, with storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. The device is also expected to ship with 12 GB of RAM, matching the Fold7’s memory configuration.

Industry analysts see the Ultra’s refined hinge and larger battery as attempts to justify a higher price tier and to lure users who balk at the Fold7’s modest battery life. If the resolution upgrade lives up to hype, the Fold8 Ultra could set a new benchmark for foldables, cementing Samsung’s dominance. Pricing will likely start near the flagship bracket, putting it beyond casual buyers.
