Ioengine, a US-based company, has sued Samsung in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging unauthorized use of five connectivity-related patents. The patents are claimed to be used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and Samsung's Portable SSD T7. Ioengine seeks compensation for past infringement and a permanent injunction against Samsung's portable SSDs and Galaxy phones.

If granted, the injunction could lead to a sales ban or loss of features. Ioengine also requests royalties as an alternative. The case is in its early stages, with no decisions made yet.
