Samsung SmartTag 3 Leaks: New Shape Revealed

Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch the Galaxy SmartTag3, following the SmartTag in 2021 and the SmartTag2 in 2023. Leaked illustrations reveal a new 'squircle-like' shape for the upcoming tracker. Unlike its predecessors, the SmartTag3 may not feature a built-in lanyard hole, potentially requiring separate cases for attachment to items like keys.

A central button, reminiscent of the original SmartTag, is visible. This button could be used to locate a connected Galaxy phone, with a double-press potentially triggering custom automations via Samsung's Modes & Routines. The device is expected to support Bluetooth and UWB, and include an IP rating for dust and water resistance, integrating with Samsung's Find service.

While an official release date is unconfirmed, the Galaxy SmartTag3 might debut alongside the Galaxy Buds On and the Galaxy S26 FE, possibly in early September.
