The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE arrives as the AI-focused addition to the S26 lineup, featuring the new Exynos 2500 chipset built on Samsung's 3nm Gate All Around process. This represents the biggest upgrade over the S25 FE, which used the Exynos 2400. The 2500 introduces newer CPU cores, a beefed-up AMD RDNA 3 GPU with 33% more work groups, and an NPU with 40% more compute hardware.

The device launches with Android 17 and One UI 9 out of the box, bringing premium AI features like My Fan Cam, which auto-tracks subjects in gallery videos, and Horizon Lock, which keeps footage leveled during 360° rotation. Upgraded Nightography promises brighter low-light images, while Photo Assist uses AI to edit photos per user commands. One UI 9 also enhances Now Brief, allowing AI-generated summaries of health data via plain text commands.

The 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display and 4,900mAh battery carry over from the previous generation, as do the 50MP main, 8MP telephoto (3x optical), and 12MP ultra-wide camera setup. A key differentiator is the inclusion of a 6-month Google AI Pro trial, previously exclusive to foldables. The S26 FE will be available in Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite starting September 4, with 128GB and 256GB storage options starting at $700, which is $50 more than the S25 FE launch price.
