Honor quietly launched the X8e 4G, an entry-level smartphone nearly identical to the July 2024 X7e Plus 4G. The most eye-catching feature is a 108MP camera, unusual for this price class. Pricing in Azerbaijan starts at AZN 688 ($480 for the 6/256GB model), positioning it slightly above the Galaxy A08 4G at AZN 590.
Under the hood, the device uses the classic Snapdragon 685 chipset, limiting video recording to 1080p. The 6nm processor features Cortex-A73 and A53 cores with an Adreno 610 GPU. The phone ships with Magic OS 10 based on Android 16.
It sports a 6.87-inch LCD with 720 x 1592px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A large 7,700mAh battery with 45W Super Charge support is a key highlight, though slightly smaller than the X7e Plus's 8,100mAh cell. Both devices share the same 8.3mm thickness and 218g weight.
The handset boasts IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance, operating in extreme temperatures from -30°C to 50°C. It also features 5-star SGS impact resistance from 2.5m heights and a dedicated underwater photo mode.
