Samsung Health revamp adds AI scores ahead of Galaxy Watch9 launch

Samsung rolled out a major refresh of its Health app on June 8, debuting a streamlined UI that groups data into Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness and Vitals. The home screen now shows daily wellness tips and an AI‑driven Energy Score, letting users glance at key metrics without digging through menus. Existing watch owners will see the new tools only after the next‑gen Galaxy Watch9 arrives.

New health modules—Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load and Fitness Index—launch alongside the update, but they run exclusively on the upcoming watches. Vitals captures five overnight bio‑signals, comparing them to a personal resting baseline and alerts only on significant deviations. The Heart Health Score fuses body‑composition, sleep and stress data into a single cardiovascular rating.

The Daily Cardio Load metric tallies accumulated strain and suggests optimal training targets, while the Fitness Index benchmarks heart rate, VO2 max and steps against peers to highlight strengths and gaps. Additional tweaks improve the AGEs and Antioxidant indexes and add a Hearing Health monitor that uses the watch’s microphone. Samsung positions these tools as the core experience for its next‑generation smartwatch line.
