Tipster Ice Universe shared fresh details about Samsung's rumored Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, suggesting the foldable will maintain the same 215-gram weight as its predecessor. Most dimensions and display sizes are expected to stay largely unchanged from the Galaxy Z Fold7, keeping the overall form factor familiar for users.

The standout improvement appears to be battery capacity. While the Z Fold7 shipped with a 4,400mAh battery, the Ultra variant reportedly packs a larger 5,000mAh cell. Samsung will allegedly support faster 45W charging to compensate for the increased capacity. This addresses one of the main criticisms of previous models.

Design-wise, the Fold8 Ultra will allegedly be slightly thinner than the Fold7 when unfolded, measuring just 4.1mm. A side-by-side comparison shows clear differences between the wide-screen Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Ultra variant. Both devices are expected to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8.

Samsung will reportedly announce both foldables at an event scheduled for July 22. The battery upgrade without weight increase could make the Ultra model more appealing to power users who need all-day performance from their foldable device.
