Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Review: Privacy Display Shines

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has arrived at GSMArena HQ for review, bringing a fresh take on the flagship formula. At first glance, the phone looks similar to its predecessor, but closer inspection reveals subtle design refinements including a slightly taller and wider frame that's thinner and lighter than before.

A standout feature is the new Privacy Display, which uses pixel-level light control to reduce screen visibility at off-angles. This Flex Magic Pixel technology directs light per pixel, creating a genuinely impressive effect that we haven't seen before. The trade-off is a slight dimming when activated, making it a matter of personal preference whether users find it worthwhile.

The display itself remains excellent, with reduced reflectivity compared to typical OLED panels and a flat design that feels great in use. Around back, the camera system stays fundamentally the same, though the main camera now sports an f/1.4 aperture (up from f/1.7) and the zoom camera has a brighter f/2.9 lens. These changes aren't revolutionary, but we'll be testing thoroughly to see if they translate to real-world improvements.
