Samsung's Galaxy S26 series will launch on February 25 with three models, dropping the rumored Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge variants. The company reportedly canceled these models due to poor sales of the S25 Edge and possible rebranding of the Pro version. This leaves the standard S26, S26+, and Ultra as the lineup.

Display changes show the Galaxy S26 getting a slight upgrade to 6.3 inches while the Galaxy S26+ keeps its 6.7-inch panel. The vanilla model will be notably lighter at 137g compared to its predecessor's 162g, though it will be slightly taller. Both models will use Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips in some markets and Exynos 2600 in others, with the Exynos being Samsung's first 2nm mobile chipset offering significant AI performance improvements.

The series introduces satellite communication capabilities across all models, addressing a gap where Samsung lagged behind competitors. Camera hardware appears unchanged from previous generations, reusing the 50MP main, 10MP telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide setup. Storage starts at 256GB for the S26, up from 128GB. The devices will support Qi2 wireless charging but require separate magnetic cases for magnetic accessories, with Samsung selling compatible chargers and power banks.
