Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy M47 in India today, targeting budget-conscious consumers with familiar design language and upgraded internals. The phone arrives as the latest addition to Samsung's M-series lineup, bringing iterative improvements over the Galaxy A27 while maintaining competitive positioning in the mid-range segment.

The standout feature is the 6,000mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging and bypass charging technology that draws power directly from the charger when plugged in. This addresses thermal concerns during extended gaming sessions while extending battery longevity. The device sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Performance comes from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, available with 6/8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Camera duties fall to a triple setup featuring a 50MP main sensor, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro lens. Software runs One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 with Samsung promising six years of OS upgrades and security patches.

The base 6/128GB model starts at INR 22,999 ($243) in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue, with sales beginning July 4 through Amazon India. This positions Samsung against Chinese competitors while leveraging its established after-sales support and update commitment in the Indian market.
