Samsung has officially confirmed the names of its next wearable lineup through code in the latest Galaxy Wearable app. The Galaxy Watch9, Galaxy Watch Ultra2, and Galaxy Able are set to debut at the company's Unpacked event on July 22 in London. The Able marks Samsung's first clip-on earbuds, dropping the "Buds" branding entirely and reportedly using bone conduction technology instead of traditional speakers.

Both smartwatches retain designs similar to their predecessors. The Watch9 is expected to stick with the Exynos W1000 chipset, while the Watch Ultra2 upgrades to Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC. The Ultra2's OLED display is rumored to hit 5,000-nit peak brightness, a significant jump over the current model's 3,000 nits.

The bone conduction approach on the Able suggests Samsung is targeting situational awareness — runners, cyclists, and commuters who need to hear ambient sound. Clip-on form factors have struggled to gain mainstream traction, but Samsung's scale could change that if audio quality holds up.

This lineup signals Samsung doubling down on specialization: a mainstream watch, a rugged ultra model with a flagship SoC and blindingly bright screen, and an experimental audio product. The Ultra2's Snapdragon chip could finally close the performance gap with Apple's Watch Ultra, while the Able tests whether bone conduction can escape its niche.
