Xiaomi has released the Redmi Turbo 5 in India, making it available through the company's website, Amazon.in, and retail stores nationwide. The phone arrives in Turbo White, Nitro Blue, and Asphalt Black, with two configurations: 8GB/256GB for ₹37,999 and 12GB/256GB for ₹40,999. This positions it as a mid-range contender in India's competitive smartphone market.

The device runs Android 16-based Hyper OS 3 and features a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,268p resolution. Under the hood sits MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, paired with a 7,540 mAh Si/C battery that's slightly smaller than the Chinese variant. Despite the reduced capacity, it maintains the same 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging capabilities found in other markets.

Camera specs include a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 20MP front-facing shooter. The phone also incorporates an in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Vision support, and comprehensive IP ratings including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. These features suggest Xiaomi is targeting durability-focused consumers who want flagship-level protection without premium pricing.

The Indian launch comes shortly after the global debut, indicating Xiaomi's strategy to quickly expand the Turbo 5's reach. With its aggressive pricing and solid specification sheet, the device could pressure competitors in the sub-₹45,000 segment.
