Redmi launches the Turbo 5 in India after a China debut, keeping most specs intact. The handset sports a 6.59‑inch flat AMOLED with 120 Hz, 3,500 nits peak, 1.5K resolution. A 7,540 mAh battery powers the device, slightly smaller than the 7,560 mAh pack in China.

Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 8500‑Ultra drives the phone, paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 245 GB UFS 4.1 storage. A 3D ice‑loop cooling system and 5,300 mm² vapor chamber keep the chip cool during heavy use. The setup supports 100 W wired charging and 27 W reverse charging.

Rear cameras combine a 50‑MP Sony IMX882 sensor with an 8‑MP ultra‑wide lens, while the front houses a 20‑MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Additional perks include an in‑display fingerprint scanner, RGB ring lights inside the camera module, an infrared sensor, stereo speakers, and an IP69K rating.

Running Android 16‑based Hyper OS 3, the Turbo 5 guarantees four years of software and six years of security updates. It comes in Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue, and Turbo White, priced from INR 37,999 (≈$400) for the 8 GB/128 GB model to INR 40,999 (≈$435) for the 12 GB/256 GB variant. Sales start June 19 through Mi.com, Amazon India, and select retailers.
